Second in our series on vacation souvenir projects for your kids to make this summer, is this fun Travel Journal. This little keepsake book is not only a place for your kids to jot down their vacation memories, but a great boredom buster for that long trip home.
We've designed our Travel Journal for use by different ages and writing abilities. Each section has a theme with either an open-ended question or space for your child to document his travels and thoughts about the trip. If your child isn't writing yet, you can help them fill in the answers and then have them draw their answers on the facing page. Of course older kids are also encouraged to share their artwork as well.
Not only will this Travel Journal be a fun diversion, the resulting log will also give you an insight into what your child really felt about your vacation. You might be surprised to find out that he really didn't like that scenic boat trip as much as you expected.
Print out a new set for each vacation and in no time you'll have a treasured collection of journals that accurately reflect your child's development at different ages and stages. Don't forget to pack the crayons!
