I admit to the guilty pleasure of watching the Kardashians' various TV shows & while I don't relate to any of them in any major way, I certainly don't have any hatred for this family. The vitriol is pretty ridiculous if you ask me. But people love to bash anyone who is at the top if they are not seen as thankful or humble enough. I haven't seen Drop Dead Diva, but I hope Kim is doing something that makes her happy and allows her to have fun. She seems, to me (based on my "extensive evaluation") to be so caught up in trying to being perfect that she's not always able to be true to herself.

What I don't understand about the naysayers is why they continue to pay any attention, even if negative, to the Kardashians if they truly disapprove. The Kardashians' fame and success is due in part to just that -- getting media attention in any form. And of course, as you said, they're savvy business people. More power to them for haranessing the energy buzzing around their missteps and reinventing themselves for the better.
