Serves 8-12 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 45 minutes
I learned to make this easy recipe when I was a Brownie many moons ago. You may have seen it as "Monkey Bread" where you stack all the biscuits, but we placed them in a circle in the pan and called it a Cinnamon Ring. Either way, it's easy enough for the younger kids to make and great on a cold holiday morning.
Make it Christmas morning while everyone is opening up their packages and when they are finished you can serve everyone this yummy treat.
INGREDIENTS 2 packages Pillsbury Biscuits (we used the Original Grands) 3/4 cups butter (1 1/2 sticks) Sugar Cinnamon Bundt Pan or Tube Ring
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°.
Melt butter and pour into wide bowl
In a second bowl make a cinnamon sugar mix. Start with 1 cup sugar and add cinnamon until it is a light brown mix.
Open Pillsbury Biscuits and separate biscuits. Dip each biscuit into butter coating both sides. Next dip buttered biscuit into cinnamon sugar mix. Again coat each side.
As you sugar each biscuit, place into greased bundt pan (or tube ring) on their sides, layering them in a circle as you go. When you are done you should have formed a ring around the bundt pan (see picture).
Note: If you use a tube ring as I did, place pan on top of tinfoil lined cookie sheet because the butter will leak through bottom Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
Cool for 5 minutes and remove from pan. If you wait too much longer the cinnamon ring will stick to pan.
Serve warm with a glass of milk.
