For my family, summer is all about eating outside. Whether it's lunch by the pool or dinner on the patio, several times a week our meal includes a nice big juicy cob of corn. We're lucky because we have a fresh corn stand just down the street, which we visit often during the summer months. Sometimes we even grow our own.
But one thing that remains constant is a little family tradition that yields a little tasty bonus when eating our favorite summer vegetable. To butter our corn, we put a healthy pat of butter on a slice of bread (or hot dog bun) and then rub the buttered bread all over the corn.
This little trick is not only an easy, mess free way for your whole family to butter their own corn, but will also leave you with a warm buttery piece of bread that tastes out of this world. Yummy!
