Birthday parties are a way of life when you have kids. Those first 5 years it seems that every weekend is filled with them. But finally, as your child enters elementary school, there is a light at the end of the party tunnel -- at least for parents. Drop-off parties.
While this is great for parents who get a couple hours break -- albeit most likely to attend their other child's sports event -- for the parent hosting the party, it can be a whole other layer of responsibility. Who has food allergies? How do you reach a parent when a child suddenly decides they just need their mommy? All common occurrences I assure you. And what if there is a real emergency? Earthquake. Stitches needed.
To make sure you are prepared for any situation during your happy little birthday party, simply post the attached contact sheet at the front door for all parents to sign before they leave their child in your care. Not only will it make you feel better, but also the other parents. After all, you may not be very close with all the parents dropping their kids off and you want them to feel comfortable as well.
Happy Birthday!
