Organizing your CD-Rom's seems easy, but I find that even when I keep them in a CD hold or crate I am constantly forced to flip through each one looking for the program I need -- very frustrating when my print driver has suddenly disappeared or one of my kids is frantically looking for the Star Wars Disk. So I've come up with a solution that has taken the frustration out of searching for my disks.
Simply purchase a bunch of paper or plastic disk sleeves and then add self-adhesive tabs to each one and then label. Once attached, you can label each disk and drop them into a mini crate or CD holder for easy retrieval.
You can also attach the tabs to your hard plastic jewel cases, although these days most programs don't come in these. It's also an easy way to file those myriad of photo disks you have lying around your desk.
One look at our before and after picture below and you'll be sold on this simple but effective idea.
