Dear Readers,

Happy New Year!  We're back from vacations and ready to take on 2007 with much enthusiasm.  We have a lot in store for you this year.  To start off with today marks the start of our own Project 365: A Picture a Day for 365 Days, which you can follow on our momready Flickr site at:

While our project will give you insight into the daily workings of momready.com, this is also a great family project.  To read more about why and how to embark on your own Project 365 check out our recent article.

January is all about organizing - be it making room for all those new toys, getting ready to submit your taxes, or just a desire to start off the new year with fresh surroundings.  So this month we will focus on all sorts of organizing.  Plus make sure to review some of last January's organizing articles especially the ones about bill keeping which will really make your tax reporting a lot easier.

February will see us continue our Los Angeles Kid Reporter program with the Geffen Playhouse.  The past reports from our Kid Reporters are now online and have also been printed in the Geffen playbills.  This  has been a great program for everyone involved and we look forward to expanding it to other cities.  In the meantime, now is the time to sign your child up for a chance to be our Kid Reporter.  Click here for further details.

Later this month you will also see more video begin to accompany our articles.  We know from our own experience that sometimes seeing something is the only way to understand it, so with the popularity of the video portion of our Living Fit articles we've decided to add this feature to our other departments.

Speaking of Living Fit,  this month we will catch you up with our Get Fit with momready participants to see how they (and I ) are faring with our PUSH.tv program.  It's been hard but I know there have been some good results.

Finally, later in the year we'll be adding podcast interviews with some interesting guests who have a lot to say about different aspects of parenting.  These interviews will be available on the site to download and listen to at your convenience.

We also have some exciting news about momready friend and contributor Peter Walsh, the organizing guru on TLC's Clean Sweep,.  Peter will be on Oprah this month (date not yet announced but we'll let you know when)!  We are so excited for him and thrilled he is being recognized for his amazing talents, skills and abilities.

As you know from his past articles, Peter is about much more than simply  organizing as you will be reminded this month as we present an excerpt from his new book It's All Too Much.  It's a wonderful read and I'm even mentioned in the acknowledgement section - fun!

After his Oprah appearance Peter will be answering some of our reader's questions so stay tuned later this month for further information on how you can submit your query.

Finally, we've added a NEW Product Recall Box on the sidebar of every page which lists the most recent juvenile products that have been recalled by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC).  By checking the box daily, you can keep your kids safe from any defective items.  

The year has just begun, and already we have so much happening... We hope you'll join us for the ride.
